Correcting Library media

To remove corrections from Library media

You can apply corrections to media in the Library. The file underlying the corrected asset is not modified: instead, the correction parameters are stored in the Library database and reapplied whenever the item is displayed or used. You can make further corrections on the timeline, if you want, but they will have no effect on the Library asset.

To apply corrections to Library media

1 In the Library panel, do one of the following:

• Right-click a media thumbnail (video, photo, or audio file), and choose Open in Corrections.

• Double-click a media thumbnail

2 In the Corrections window, apply the changes you want and click OK to return to the Library.

The corrected media file can now be added to projects. All future projects get the benefit of the correction.

To remove corrections from Library media

• In the Library panel, right-click a media thumbnail that has corrections applied, and choose Revert to original.
