Saving, deleting, and loading masks


You can save masks that you create for one project and use them in other projects. When you save a mask, it is stored in a .psmask file (...Documents/Pinnacle/My Masks).

You can delete a masks that you no longer want in your project. You can delete a single clip mask, all clip masks applied to a clip, individual masks on a mask track or the entire mask track.

To save a mask

1 In the Timeline, select the mask that you want to save.
2 In the Mask panel, click the Mask tab to display the Mask page.
 
3 Click Save Mask Track or Save (for a Clip Mask).
4 Type a name for your mask.
Your mask is saved as a .psmask file.

To load a saved mask

1 In the Timeline, if you want to apply the mask as a clip mask, select a clip.
2 In the Mask panel, click the Mask tab to display the Mask page.
3 Click Load Mask.
4 Select the mask that you want from the default location or navigate to the saved mask location.
Note: The mask is loaded as a clip mask if a clip was selected prior to loading the mask. If no clip was selected, the mask is added as a new mask track. As with other tracks, you can change the order of a mask track in the Timeline.

To delete a mask

On the Timeline, do one of the following:
Clip Mask: Right-click a clip mask and choose Delete or Delete All (if you have more than one clip mask that you want to delete).
Mask Track: Right-click the track head area of a mask track and choose Delete mask track.
Mask on Mask Track: Right-click a mask on a mask track and choose Delete.
